We wanted to make you aware of the different ways you can make your end-of-year gift, with specific benefits that will elevate your impact and allow us to make an even greater difference.
6 Ways to Make an Impact at Year End
1. Write Your Check in 2023
Gifts by check are counted when postmarked, even if not cashed until the following year. By supporting Aleph now, you contribute to saving lives next year.
2. Use Your IRA
If you’re 70 ½ or older and no longer itemize on your tax return, you can make tax-free gifts directly to Aleph from your IRA. This counts as a charitable income tax deduction for 100% of your gift, and it also fulfills your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD).
3. Review Your Stocks
Consider gifting appreciated stock to support Aleph. You’ll get a charitable deduction equal to its current value, just like a cash gift. Plus, this reduces capital gains tax, maximizing the impact of your support.
4. Create a Donor Advised Fund (DAF)
Explore the tax benefits of supporting Aleph by establishing a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF), a charitable savings account that grows tax-free through investments. This allows you to optimize your tax deductions while contributing to Aleph’s lifesaving work.
5. Make a Legacy Gift
Make a planned gift to support Aleph in perpetuity and help ensure that we can continue to transform lives for years to come. One type of planned gift is a life insurance policy with Aleph as the beneficiary.
