DONOR PRIVACY POLICY
Our Commitment to Our Donors
We will not sell, trade or share our donors’ names or personal information with any other entity, nor send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations. This policy applies to all information received by The Aleph Institute, both online and offline, on any Platform, as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications.
To the extent any donations are processed through a third-party service provider, our donors’ information will only be used for purposes necessary to process the donation.
RECORDS RETENTION POLICY
In accord with IRS guidelines, the Aleph Institute maintains its records for the terms necessary and securely destroys its data at the term’s conclusion with a secure, third party service.
EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
The Aleph Institute provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics. In addition to federal law requirements, The Aleph Institute complies with applicable state and local laws governing nondiscrimination in employment in every location in which the company has facilities. This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation and training.
CONFLICT OF INTEREST POLICY
The Aleph Institute seeks to address and avoid situations in which a conflict of interest may exist between the personal, professional or business interests of the members of the board or the directors of the Aleph Institute, and the interests of the organization itself. The purposes of this policy are to protect the integrity of the Aleph Institute’s decision-making process, to enable our constituencies to have confidence in our integrity, and to protect the integrity and reputations of volunteers, staff and board members. This includes avoiding potential and actual conflicts of interests, as well as perceptions of conflicts of interest.
It is required that any interest in a transaction where a board member or director (including their business or other nonprofit affiliations), their family and/or significant other, employer, or close associates will receive benefit or gain, be disclosed to the board and/or other executive staff. After disclosure, the person with an identified conflict of interest will not be permitted to vote on the matter in question. This policy is meant to supplement good judgement in the matters above and we request directors and board members of the Aleph Institute to abide by both its spirit and its wording.
